Sad Day

Well, a year has gone by without a meeting so I am going to cancel regular meetings until we have more interest. If you are interesting in meeting or need help in the midlands part of SC or Augusta, GA area you can contact me. You can also join the group babywearersc at yahoogroups.com which is where conversation would take place if a get together was being planned.

Low Participation

It is sad for me to say that participation has been very low recently so at times we are not having our monthly meeting. If this continues I may try and find someplace closer to my home to hold the meetings so I can at least be there if we will have drop ins. Right now it is far for me to go if noone will be there. I am MORE than happy to go if I know someone is coming though, so you may want to RSVP ahead until participation levels are back up.

The meetings are at the same place, Midtown at Forest Acres (formerly Richland Mall) food court play area and the Barnes and Noble Children's section at that same mall. The later is the alternate if the play area is too crowded.

Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:30am. This months meeting is tentative for Wednesday March 11, 2009.

Back in Action-July meeting

After taking some time off to try and find a more suitable location we are still back to no real meeting place. If you can help us secure a free location that is a bit more contained than the library please email us.

For now we have moved to Midtown at Forest Acres Barnes and Noble. We will be meeting at the kids section. This is a bit smaller than the library and if the kids get out of hand we are always able to move to the play area of the food court. Midtown at Forest Acres is the former Richland Mall, located on Forest Dr at Beltline Blvd.

July 2008 meeting has been moved to 9:30 am, it will be back to 10 am in August. If you need a reminder, we meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month. July's meeting will be July 9th.

Midlands Babywearer has also been joining with the SC AP group to hold playdates most other Wednesdays of the month. You can find out about these by joining either babywearersc or SC_AP on yahoogroups.com

If you ever have a topic request or are interested in a specific carrier or topic please feel free to let us know so that we will be sure to bring it to the meeting. Or if you need help with your own carrier please bring it and we will do the best we can.

OCTOBER MEETING LOCATION

September was busier so more chaotic at the library so the October meeting has been moved to a private location. You can email me at poohg@aol.com for more information on this months meeting.

NEW TIME

The Midlands Babywearing group will now meet at 10 AM. Same great place, same great day.

September Meeting

The September meeting will be as usual. Wednesday September 12 at 10 am. RCPL Main Children's Room.

August meeting

The August meeting will be a special back to school event. Instead of the usual meeting place we will meet at Palmetto Falls. Palmetto Falls is the water park on Fort Jackson. Palmetto Falls is open to the public, just tell them where you are going and show your driver's liscense at the gate. We will be meeting outside the entrance to Palmetto Falls at 10:30 on Wednesday August 8th.
